More than everything Monique wanted to celebrate her birthday with her favourite things in life. Thoughtfully baking her favourite treats while listening to some of her favourite jazz musicians. Enjoying a delicious dinner over candle light with table set with her favourite flowers. And nibbling on her delectable treats while curled up with one of her favourite books. So naturally we said let's encompass these elements in the photo-shoot. But not in her kitchen, or her reading room or even in a studio. Instead we asked " how about we take those elements to the beach?"
There was a pause at first but as we described the session with her and the cooking utensils, her candles, a table set with her favourite flowers, being surrounded by her favourite books, listening to Ella Fitzgerald all topped off with a birthday cupcake by the beach...she quickly engulfed the essence of her unique birthday celebration photo-shoot by asking "Which beach did you have in mind?!?!"
